Follow Up To Xmas // Week In Pictures

Left to Right :
1. I took my little brothers to see the Glasgow christmas lights, it really got us into the festive spirit they had so much fun on the rides there too!

2. Who needs Starbucks? I'm addicted to the 'Green & Blacks' drinking chocolate right now!
3. I decided to get extensions, I'm sick of waiting for my hair to grow! I also lost a lot of length from the ombré I had due to the ends snapping (sad times). So I ombréd the extensions and dyed my natural hair dark again.

4. Christmas nails! These took me forever, still not perfect. I really need to invest in some acrylic paint and decent brushes.

5. I made chocolate chip cookies! Not very festive but they're cookies.. Enough said.
6. Some purchases when I was supposed to be shopping for others oops! Platforms £12.00 in the River Island sale & the perfume £12.00 for 75ml which is my new favourite, bargains! (Review coming soon on the perfume).

7. My adorable baby brother, he was helping me wrap up our mum's presents! He would not take his santa hat off, too cute.

8. Manis & Pedis for one! I always have a major pampering session just before christmas. Soap & Glory's 'Heel Genius' is my holy grail foot product works absolute wonders.

9. Part of my Christmas day outfit (OOTD post to follow). Top is from 'New Look' about 3/4 years ago, found it in a bag of old clothes in the attic. I love finding pieces that I've forgotten about and bringing them up to date.

Just a quick update - I know I've been saying there will be more OOTDs but there really will be now! I finally managed to get a fixing plate for my tripod so I will be snapping away over the festive period bringing you lots of Christmasy outfits. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Black Milk Suspender Leggings // Dupes

Hi again guys,

Two posts today, yaay! I'm going to show you a few cheaper alternatives to the amazing Black Milk 'Suspender Leggings'. Now, these of course are not to everyones taste but personally, I love them. They're so grunge, edgy and I think they could definitely be paired with almost anything. I bought some today (which are linked below) from an Australian seller on eBay, including p&p they came to £45.68 which is far cheaper than the Black Milk ones. As soon as they arrive I'll definitely be reviewing them and taking lots of snaps! To style them I'd probably wear them with my Cheap Monday  tee, Docs / Tardy's, a thick scarf and throw on an oversized denim jacket. If you've been looking at the Black Milk leggings for a while then I hope this post helps!

Firstly, these are the originals, they can be found here for $120.00 (approx £78).
Black Milk also has free shipping worldwide this month!

Boohoo's version found here are only £18.00.
Don't forget Boohoo also offer student discount!

These are the ones I purchased from eBay (Lip Service) here
including p&p they came to £45.68

Finally.. I found these beauties on 'Glamolous' here
and including p&p they only come to £30 ish!

For sale!

Hi guys,

Just a quick post to say I currently have loads of stuff for sale on my eBay! I've recently been on a sort of 'healthier eating regime', it's working - all my clothes are becoming loose and just don't look as good on me as they used to. So this means sell, make money and buy more (yes!).
Hope you're all well and enjoying the wonderful festivities!

Heeled Chelsea Boots // Shoe Unboxing

Hey everyone!

Another shoe post today, and again I'm finally jumping on the band wagon with these shoes too. I've wanted these for so long but I refused to pay the price for the Topshop 'Allegra's'. I also refused to buy any of the cheaper dupes on eBay as they all have a horrible seam on show at the front of the boot and I really didn't know what the quality would be like.
Anyway, I went shopping the other day and went into 'Garage Shoes' which is a place I've never been into only walked past thinking it just wasn't my type of shop. I saw these in the window and fell in love! I really like the fact they don't have the big chunky platform at the front like the others, I feel it makes the shoe look a lot more feminine. The little stud hardware at the back of the boot is also really nice as it's a bronze-ish colour which looks great with silver, gold and rose gold accessories (I'm very fussy when it comes to matching jewellery with metal accents on clothing and shoes). I got them for £24.99, such a bargain! Garage shoes often have great deals on where you can buy one pair of shoes and get another half price etc!
There are a lot of great 'Allegra' dupes out there, I shall link some below so you can check them out if you're interested.

Cheap Monday // Casual Outfit

Hi guys!

So this is just a quick outfit I wore at the weekend, super casual. I wouldn't usually use a camera phone picture but this was the only picture I had got. The denim jacket doesn't make it look that wintery but I think the tartan gives it a warmer look, I was also wearing a burgundy beanie. My top was £10, brand new with tags on eBay, total bargain! Sorry again for the rubbish picture quality and clutter in the background. I will try and link items I'm wearing if not I'll link similar.

Cheap Monday Tee - Impericon
Disco Pants - American Apparel
Converse All Star Ox Low - Office

Introducing... JC Tardy Boots | Shoe Unboxing

Hi guys!

Yes, really another post! Well this is going to be a sort of shoe unboxing. I've finally jumped on the band wagon and bought myself some Jeffrey Campbells, I can now see what all the hype is about they are absolutely amazing. So, I got the Tardy's, I thought these would be a pair that I would get a lot of use out of seeing as they're probably one of the less 'out there' pairs from Jeffrey Campbell. I was originally going to get them from the Office website as they have a huge JC sale on at the moment but they only had size 8's left. I decided to look on eBay and discovered they had a shop called 'Offcutshoes' which basically is an outlet where they sell all their ex display shoes, surprisingly they had a pair in my size listed as an auction with a 99p start. My friend Lozzi was also watching some size 6's which in the end went up to £90.00 in the end! So I wasn't sure if I was going to bother with these if they were only going for £50.00 on the Office website. But in the end, after an adrenaline pumping bidding war I won them for exactly £50.00! I'm so, so happy with them.

JC Tardy's can be found here, they restock regularly.

Recent Charity / Thrift Shop Finds

Hi guys!

Recently I have been trying to build up my A/W wardrobe. Charity shops are a great way to find some amazing vintage pieces to kick start season transitioning, very affordable too. Throughout the summer I literally found nothing in charity shops, I have no clue why, but I'm so glad I've found these pieces over the last month! Going to try and keep up the blogging regularly, so far so good. Also I'm thinking of doing some outfit posts, what do you think?

Friend Addition // Thrift OOTD

Hello everyone!

Last night my friend Rosheen let me loose on her. She agreed to let me make her over and take pictures for my college photography project. We managed to take so many pictures and use a few outfits I had picked for her out of my wardrobe (bearing in mind there is quite a huge size gap!). I decided to only use items that I have found in charity shops. This was one of the outfits I came up with! Next post will be a mini haul of all the things I have thrifted recently, so remember to check back!

Sleeveless Denim Jacket - I got this from Banardos, all clothing is £1.99 in there right now! Originally a jacket but the arms were beyond oversized so I chopped them off!

Oversized Pantera Band Sleeveless Tee - Again this was from Banardos. Was a t-shirt but I cut into a drop arm hole vest.

Vintage Dr Martens - Cancer Research, £4.99, Bargain... Enough said?

Velvet Revolution // A/W 2012

Okay, my bad it's been a while again. Still getting used to the whole blogging thing, hopefully it'll come naturally to me soon and my posts will become regular like I wish them to be! So it's that time already, everyones whipping out their boots and knits. Particularly in the khaki and burgundy's. One trend I've been seeing a lot of is velvet, last Autumn / Winter there were masses of velvet skater skirts and chelsea boots and I think it's going to be the same this year, with the addition of the occasional stud or two!

Denim DIY!

Hey everyone,

Recently I've been going a little bit mad on reworking denim! I'm not sure if I should do some sort of 'How to' posts showing you how I done these as there are quite a few out there. However, I will show you the end results of some pieces I've done. I've still got a lot more denim shorts, shirts and jackets to do but these are the finished ones. I have put these up for sale now on my eBay, so if you are interested I'll leave links to them below the pictures. Let me know what you think and if you'd like to know how I created them, enjoy!

Dip Dye, Gradient, Ombré, Sea Foam Nails | Tutorial

You will need:
White Polish
2 Coloured Polishes
Topcoat
Make-up Sponge
Polish remover
Q-tips

Step 1 - Paint your nails with two thin coats of the white polish and wait for it to dry. I used 'NYC - Pinstripe White' any white polish will do that is fast drying!

Step 2 - Drop some of your first coloured polish onto some paper (I used 'NYC - Lavender Cupcake'). Then taking the sponge dip a corner into the polish.

Step 3 - With the coated sponge, apply three quarters of the way up the nail in dabbing motion starting at the tip and working upwards. Let this dry until tacky.

Step 4 - Using the same colour and method as before, apply the polish 1 or 2 quarters of the way up the nail depending on the length of the nail. This will give a more opaque look towards the tips of the nails. Let this dry until tacky again. (During this step you may find the polish looks sticky and bobbly, this is normal and adds to the finished effect once top coat is applied.)

Step 5 - Time to add the second coloured polish (I used 'Barry M - Blue Moon'). Using the opposite side of the sponge dip into the polish and make sure there is a generous amount on there. Dab onto the very tips of the nail until they're completely opaque with the second colour, then with the excess polish on the sponge dab it upwards and into the first colour, this is what gives the nails that gradient effect.

Step 6 - Taking the white polish used for the base, dip the sponge sparingly into it, dab any excess off onto the paper and apply it using dabbing motions again but on the opposite side of the nail, and going towards the tip instead of away from them. (If you feel there isn't enough of one colour showing through just go back and lightly add more, it will not effect the design.)

Step 7 - While the nails are still wet, apply a layer of your chosen top coat this blends all the colours together and gets rid of the bobbly-ness. Once the layer of top coat has dried completely add another coat. It's important to let the nails dry completely after the first coat of top coat here as you don't want air bubbles to form between the layers.

Step 8 - Once nails are completely dry, take a Q-tip dipped in nail polish remover and clean up any messy bits!

And you're done!
